This set of items consists in 100 verbal problems. It aims at assessing vocabulary knowledge.
In a sample of 368 persons, the IAW raw score reliability was .95 as measured with the Spearman-Brown correction of Split-Half coefficient. This is seen as excellent and ensures an appropriate standard error of measurement (3.19).
Correlations of the IAW raw score with other measures of verbal intelligence demonstrated close level of relationships: for example, the pearson coefficient was .85 with the RIAS VIX (N=106), .80 with the WAIS VIQ (N=77) and .85 with the JCCES VAI (N=67).
